DIY Friday #2 – ‘Colourful Salt Jars’

Dear Awesome Reader,

Bonjour! Why I said that I have no idea! Apparently A Little Daydreamer is going international oh yes! 😉

Anyways, so today is another day. And today is also…DIY Friday! *“Whoop whoop” says Emily through FaceTime, as I type aloud!*

She’s a funny one that Emily! 🙂

For this DIY you are going to be decorating a jar in an awesomely awesome way!

And it’s going to look something like this:

salt jar3

It’s a super easy DIY and it’s so pretty!

Things you will need:

A mixing bowl/glass

Salt (enough to fill your jar of choice!)

A jar

Chalk (whatever colours you want!)

Steps

1. Pour as much salt as you need into the mixing bowl/glass.

*TIP – If you are using a glass, make sure the glass is short and not tall otherwise you won’t be able to do the next step!*

2. Then, get your first piece of chalk and swirl the chalk around in the salt in a circular motion. It will only take a few minutes, but the longer you stir, the darker the colour will be.

3. Next, pour the coloured salt into the jar.

4. Repeat the steps until you have a jar that is filled with the coloured salt of your choice!

See, it’s super easy! You can either put the lid back on or you can use it to store things such as makeup brushes in! Hope you enjoyed and if you do give this DIY a go, feel free to send me a pic of how it went! 🙂
