I’m more or less going to jump straight into answering the questions and I hope that it helps you to get to know me a bit better. These questions have been taken from previous comments and I also threw in a couple that I came up with myself. I’m going to try and make this as interesting as possible because I know how lengthy these things can be!
Let’s start of with the basics… (you’re free to skip this part)
Who are you?
My name is Caitlin Traylor and I’m just a regular teen who has big aspirations and a lack of knowledge in how to achieve them. ^.^
Where are you from?
I live in Wales, which for those of you who don’t know is the tiny country next to England, in the U.K.
How old are you?
I was born on the 1st of November 2000, therefore I’m currently 16 years old.
When and why did you start blogging?
I created this blog on February 10th 2015 when I was just 14, and if I’m honest, I can’t remember the exact reason as to how it came about! I think it was most likely because I was heavily influenced by YouTubers such as Zoella at the time, who started out with her own blog and felt like it would be fun to do the same.
Do you have any other social media?
Yes I do! I have an Instagram which is @caitlin.traylor (deactivated currently) and I also have a YouTube channel, also named caitlin.traylor
Now let’s get on with the more fun questions!
What is your favourite colour?
I can’t say I have one favourite colour alone, but if I had to choose it would be the colour yellow because to me, it has connotations of positivity and growth. It’s the colour of light and I really like that. 🙂
Who are your idols?
Okay so I wanted to answer this properly, and therefore decided to look up the exact definition of ‘idol’. I have come to the conclusion that I have none. The reason I say this is because, although there are many people I look up to and find inspiration from, I’m just more interested in focusing on my own personal development. Oh god that sounds selfish, I don’t mean it to. I’d just feel as though I’d be putting that someone on a pedestal and I don’t like the idea of that.
BUT, I feel as though I can’t just leave my answer like that, so here are a few of people who’s work I do admire : Emma Watson, Charlie Chaplin, Dottie James and J.R.R Tolkien. What an eclectic mix, hehe!
What is something you can’t live without?
A heart. Oh wait, didn’t you mean it literally?
What subjects did you do at GCSE?
Unfortunely for me, hundreds of subjects were made compulsory (figuratively speaking) so I ended up doing:
- English Lit.
- English Lang.
- Welsh Bacc.
Barring in mind I only got to personally choose to do 3 of those. By now I would have burst into singing ‘it’s a hard-knock life’ from Annie, but I haven’t got my results yet – only two weeks to go ahh!
What subjects are you planning on studying at A Levels?
Yet again, it’s been made compulsory for us to do Welsh Bacc. which I’m not impressed with but there you go. I’ve also been made to take a minimum of 4 other subjects, but for me personally I don’t mind that so much.
I’ve opted to take English (Lit. and Lang. combined course), History, Film Studies, and Media Studies. I’m probably not going to continue all of them for the full 2 years, so I imagine History would be the one I’d drop after 1 year but you never know.
Do you have a career path in mind that you’d want to take?
Simple answer: yes. I know for definite that I want to go into the TV and Film Industry, (preferably film) and my ultimate goal would be to become a successful film director. However I do understand that it would take a lot of hard work and obviously I don’t have a strict plan as of yet. Saying that, I have in mind that I am going to go to University to study media and film production which I know will put me in the right direction to achieving my goals.
So there you have it! I really hope this was even a little bit interesting and you feel as though you know me better.
I’d love to hear your answers to some of the questions in the comment section, although you’re free to write your own response on your blog, just be sure to let me know so I don’t miss it! I’d also appreciate you leaving a question or two for me to answer in next week’s Q and A as it would be best for me to answer questions that people are actually interesting in hearing my opinions on.
Thanks for reading!
