Family films of the 2000’s we all loved … (pt1)

film

Growing up, I thoroughly enjoyed watching films as a family and recently, I’ve been thinking about what films I used to love the most. It’s incredible how quickly you forget that some of these films existed and how much of an impact they had on you.

I decided to put together a list of the most popular and brilliant family films, in my opinion, of the early 2000s. This is sort of a follow up of my Top 2000’s CBBC Shows as it provoked so many positive reactions!

This is also going to be a two-parter as I have so many films to share! Here we go..

  1. Toy Story (1995)

    toy story

Kicking it off with a downright classic, this film was so entertaining. Although, I had absolutely no idea that this was from the 1990’s! Despite this discovery, I had to keep it in the mix as there were more films later to come and I mean, how couldn’t it be included eh?

2. The Incredibles (2004)

Honestly, I have nothing more to say other than HURRY YOSELVES UP AND MAKE THE SEQUEL BECAUSE WE’VE BEEN HANGING ON FOR THIRTEEN YEARS NOW!!

 3. Shrek (2001)

That will be stuck in your head for the next 10 days you’re welcome.

4. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001)

I feel as though Harry Potter features a lot on my blog, but hey no one’s complaining! Oh how cute they all are in this…

5. The Chronicles of Narnia : the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)

I watched this fairly recently and it was just as magical as I’d remembered. The visuals are stunning and I just really love the story. (I also seem to recall fancying Peter also, haha!)

6. Stuart Little (1999)

stuart-little-post-2A film that I’d totally forgotten about until reminded by someone recently. Such a sweet, funny film!

7. Ice Age (2002)

A do believe 4 films have been made all together, but all I know is that the first one is great! Sid was 1000% my favourite character.

8. High School Musical (2006)

Not too long ago, me and a friend watched back through all 3 films and literally nothing happened! We remembered it to have had a lot more storyline and plot back then…! However, the songs are still gold so it must be included on this list.

9. Shark Tale (2004)

sharktalewallpaperHow could anyone not love this film?! It was so funny and the characters were brilliant!

10. Aliens in the Attic (2009)

The latest one on the list, but it simply couldn’t be missed out. Austin Butler + comedy + aliens. Need I say more?

11. The Polar Express (2004)

What. A. Classic.

12. Spy Kids (2001)

Literally just wanted to be them. They just seemed so cool. Such great films!

13. Nanny McPhee (2005)

And to finish off this list is this amazing film. I really do like Emma Thompson and I admire how she managed to do both the screenplay and play the lead role.

Well, that concludes the list for now! Like I said, there will be a second part to this and as soon as it’s done it will be linked below.

Comment which one of these films you enjoyed the most!

Thanks for reading!
